About this Opportunity
Is Your Dog Itching to Make a Difference? Your certified pet can help hospice patients! Volunteering for Unity Hospice is very flexible - with many locations near you. Your dog can be a certified Therapy Dog or Canine Good Citizen. Hospice is about living and celebrating life, and making sure patients and their families receive love and support - from staff, from volunteers, and from friendly pets!
Visiting with a patient or their families during this hard time can bring so much peace and comfort. You already know how amazing your dog is - let's show them off to others who can appreciate them like you do!Our volunteers receive extensive training to work in hospice, and will need a fingerprinting background check, tb and drug testing, and vaccine & certification records for their dogs. We'd be happy to share more information - please get in touch!
