About this Opportunity
The Hat Creek Ranger District is looking for people with positive attitudes and helpful dispositions who want to be part of the Visitor Services team. Visitor Services operates the Front Desk and the Visitors Information Center on our District. The selected applicants will perform daily activities to support the operations of the visitor services team including greeting visitors, answering phone calls, Selling book and map, performing inventory, and general offices procedures. Applicants will also assist with interpretive exhibits, informational displays, and Forest Service activities. The applicant will provide guidance to the public on rules and regulations regarding recreation and may issue an array of permits.
Location and hours are dependent on season. District Office hours are Monday-Friday, and the Visitor Center hours are usually Thursday – Monday. Scheduled hours are preferable.
Volunteers must be able to serve in a team environment, and have strong verbal and written communication skills. The selected individuals will need to maintain a professional demeanor and appearance. Volunteers will receive on the job training.
