Mission: To serve persons in Muskegon County with resources to meet basic needs, promote self-sufficiency, and improve the quality of life

Mission for Area People is a faith-based organization providing Muskegon County residents with resources to meet basic needs, promote self-sufficiency, and improve quality of life.

Our goals: Provide services with dignity while giving a hand up versus a hand out

Population: MAP provides services to low income, unemployed, homeless, as well as working low-income residents in Muskegon County who have an emergency need.

Resources we offer to community members in need:

• Back to School
• Clothing/Household Pantry
• Emergency Medical and Dental Funds
• Healthy Choice Food Pantry
• Holiday / Christmas Programs
• Rental Assistance
• Daycare Financial Assistance
• Free medical clinic by appointment
• Medical fund (prescriptions, office co pays, gas to get to appointments, etc.)
• Community Health Worker in partnership with Access Health
• ALICE Transportation Program (car repairs, ID’s, registration, uniforms) for individuals working at least 23 hours per week
• Teen Town Christmas program
• Holiday dinner programs
