About this Opportunity

ALL VOLUNTEERS GET FREE ACCESS TO THE FESTIVAL ON THE DAY OF YOUR SHIFT!

Want to make a big impact for a tiny agency? Join the MAP team of employees and volunteers at the Michigan Irish Music Festival!

MAP is the recipient agency of food donations to the MIMF. In return for this incredible generosity, we are once again providing vital Rubbish Removal services for the festival. Focusing on the recyclables, volunteers will be asked to collect and re-bag the recycle containers throughout the festival, then bring them back to the sorting area to be sorted.

We are hoping for 6 people per shift available in order to meet the ongoing need. This is messy work, so come prepared! The festival provides gloves and all the materials needed to perform the necessary duties and MAP will be providing aprons to protect your clothing. Closed toe shoes are recommended!

To register:

  • Go to https://volunteer.bloomerang.co/JE/o7bbi1a77smpcl
  • Then, click on the green button to "Volunteer." - This step can ONLY be completed on computer, phone or tablet. You will be asked to create an account if you have not already. This is to be sure you receive all the necessary notifications as we get closer to the festival date.
  • Once you have created your account, follow the website prompts to enter your information.
  • On the Qualifications page, scroll to the bottom and check the box for the West Michigan Speedskating Club/Mission for Area People, then click Next.
  • On the Roles page, scroll about halfway down and check the Rubbish Removal option, then click next.
  • From there, you will see all of the shifts that are open for supporting MAP's festival volunteerism. Don't worry about the number of open spots, just choose the one(s) that will work best for you.
  • You will receive notification of your final schedule sometime in August as well as notification of the MIMF Volunteer Orientation. From experience, it is highly recommended that you attend the orientation as you will receive your t-shirt then as well as have the opportunity to speak to the festival leadership and see our work area.

Please feel free to reach out to Britany at Mission for Area People 231 733 9672 or britany@missionforareapeople.org with any questions or concerns. We are happy to help and can't wait to work alongside you at the festival!
