About this Opportunity
Description: Volunteers will accompany a group of 8 students with physical and mental disabilities to explore Hong Kong community outside their dormitory. The special school hopes that the students can enjoy a good day out in the Lung Mei Beach in Tai Po while communicating with others during the interactive outing.
Volunteer Roles:
1. Volunteers will gather at Tai Mei Tuk Bus Terminus.
2. Volunteers will accompany the students to visit the Lung Mei Beach, and have lunch together.
3. Volunteers will need to push the wheelchairs for the students and bring them to the toilets.
4. We kindly request that volunteers bring or cover the cost of their own meals. Volunteers also need to cover their own transportation cost.
5.Volunteers may have the opportunity to play water (not swimming) with the students, so please prepare swimsuits or backup clothing.
All volunteers must be registered with HandsOn Hong Kong. Friends or family members who wish to join are warmly welcome—please ensure that each person registers and signs up separately.
