Board of Directors - Board Governance Committee Chair

Ten Thousand Villages, alocally owned, non-profit, fair trade retail store in downtown Ann Arbor is currently searching for aChair of theBoard Governance Committeefor ourBoard of Directors. Responsibilities will include the following:

Ensure compliance with the Board of Directors constitution and policies, as well as any relevant government regulatory requirements
Coordinate the annual filing of any required or beneficial local, state and federal documents (e.g. IRS Form 990, Guidestar listing, MI Charitable Trust, etc)
Serve as the point person for board recruitment activities
Spearhead the onboarding process for new board members (both content and delivery)
Manage all board documents (both hard and soft copies) according to the boards document retention policy with support from the Secretary and Committee Chairs
Revisit board policies on an annual basis to ensure they reflect the current landscape
