Board of Directors - Human Resources Committee Chair

Ten Thousand Villages, alocally owned, non-profit, fair trade retail store in downtown Ann Arbor is currently searching for aChair of theHuman Resources Committeefor ourBoard of Directors. Responsibilities will include the following:

Conduct the annual performance review for the store manager
Serve as an advisor to the Store Manager regarding HR policies, benefits, staffing, and other concerns
Serve as one of the Board liaison's at the quarterly volunteer meetings
Provide input for strategic planning for the Board and data collection with volunteers
Serve as a channel for staff or volunteers to report HR concerns
Work with the Store Manager to develop a thriving culture for the staff and volunteers
Update balanced scorecard on monthly basis
Work with the store manager, staff and volunteers to identify ways to increase the number of volunteers working in the store
