Anam Cara - Equine Assisted Psychotherapy

Anam Cara's mission is to help people, families, & the community heal from emotional wounds; cultivate resiliency; & promote mental wellness. We provide counseling, EMDR, Eagala Model equine assisted psychotherapy & other healing modalities.

We provide licensed mental health counseling, including traditional talk therapy in an office setting as well as outdoors providing Eagala model and Trauma-Focused Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy. In addition to traditional therapy, we offer opportunities for community building and restorative experiences such as Herd Meditation (Mindfulness with Horses), Horse Powered Reading and coming soon Horse Powered Math for students. We have Drum Circles, and Art and Horse Assisted (AHA) workshops. We host support groups: Suicide loss Support group, Brain Injury support group, Fall-In Friday (Veterans & First Responders) group, and coming soon, a women's group.
