Board of Directors - General Member

Ten Thousand Villages, alocally owned, non-profit, fair trade retail store in downtown Ann Arbor is currently searching for additional Membersfor ourBoard of Directors. Responsibilities will include the following:

Understand and promote the organizations mission
Be familiar with the organizations programs, policies, and operations
Attend board meetings (every other month) and appropriate committee meetings
Actively serve on at least one committee and offer to take on special assignments
Review agenda and supporting documents prior to meetings
Participate in fund raising activities and special events
Keep current on fair trade issues and relevant community developments
Strictly adhere to conflict of interest policies
Strictly adhere to confidentiality policies
